A Late 18th Century Writing Table Attributed to David Roentgen
The oval top with a three-quarters architectural gallery, the frieze drawer with a leather-lined slide and two drawers, with spring-operated wells on each side opening in conjunction with the frieze drawer, the square tapering legs inset with ribbon ormolu panels and headed by ormolu paterae and joined by a concave-sided shelf stretcher.
