A Pair of Louis XVI Ormolu Three Light Candelabra with a Brule Perfume Vase Attributed to Jean-Louis Prieur
With angular three-sided base each with Lion’s paw feet over which fluted pilasters rise in between a fluted shaft with a cornice, which widens upwards, on which three pinecones with the vase standing in the centre. The arms curve down in a semicircle supporting wide drip trays and candle nozzles. Leaf festoons with large rose blossoms hang down between the arms. The crowning vase in a squashed spherical shape surrounded by drapery.

Jean-Louis Prieur (1732–1795)
Born in Paris and became one of the leading bronze caster, designer, and engraver. In 1766 he collaborated and worked with Phillippe Caffieri on items for the Royal family.
